First Blog Entry - Intro

I had resisted the whole BLOG thing until now because I was too lazy to keep it up-to-date. However, with the eventful year that I’ve been having, I thought this format would be more manageable in keeping everybody up-to-date. Since I don’t see some of you nearly often enough, I have written some of this in retrospect.
