quick update from Sliema, Malta

After waking up in the wee hours of the morning to catch my flight, I had a surprisingly high level of energy. This trip has been 13 years in the making, and worth every minute of the wait. I absolutely love it here, and am already planning my return. If you plan to travel here, allocate at least one week. There are lots of archeological, UNESCO heritage and other types of sites. I explored Valleta on my own today, and joined a tour tomorrow to explore caves and ruins.
I haven't eaten much all day, so I'm off to try some authentic Maltese food. Next update from Budapest!
